Rail Service

Gulf Inland Logistics Park / CMC RailroadUnion Pacific, Burlington Northern and Santa Fe have main service through Liberty and Dayton, resulting in an excellent location for an east-west connection. South of Dayton is the Gulf Inland Logistics Park and CMC Railroad, with 585 acres located within Foreign Trade Zone 171. Direct access is available to US Highway 90 (east-west) and Highway 146 (north-south). Two Class 1 rail carriers are featured - the BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad.

 

Foreign-Trade Zone

Part of FTZ 171 is situated within Liberty County. FTZ 171 was originally approved by the Foreign-Trade Zones Board on January 4, 1991 and has been expanded several times since. Information on FTZ 171 can be found by searching the Federal Register website.
