Annual Trinity Valley Exposition Fair And Rodeo
The 100th celebration of the TVE Fair and Rodeo will begin with Country Weekend on Saturday, October 11 and the annual Baby Parade in downtown Liberty. The TVE facilities sustained damage from Hurricane Ike, and some events have been cancelled, but the celebration will go on. Visit the TVE web site at www.tvefair.com.

Assistance Available For Workers Affected By Hurricane Ike
Texas Workforce Commission is now accepting applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance from those whose employment was disrupted or lost due to Hurricane Ike. Applicants must have worked in a county covered under Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA -1791-DR. Applications can be filed until Wednesday, October 15. For information, visit the TWC site at www.texasworkforce.org and look for the section on Hurricane Ike - UI and DUA claims.
