Some of the entertaining activities held in the Liberty-Dayton area include such springtime events as the Liberty Jubilee & Street Dance, Dayton Ole Tyme Days Festival, and the Mayhaw Festival. The annual patriotic fireworks display at Liberty Municipal Park lights up the night in July, the Trinity Valley Exposition Fair & Rodeo kicks off in October, and Country Christmas ushers in the holiday season during November and December.

Other events include indoor theater, award-winning family-oriented musical entertainment, and annual gatherings
featuring motorcycles and classic cars.

The Liberty-Dayton area has numerous historical markers telling the story of early Liberty County and Southeast Texas. History buffs and those involved with genealogy will want to visit our local libraries and research facilities to access the wealth of information on state and area history, including educational artifacts and displays. In addition, there are wonderful examples of older homes in the Liberty-Dayton area, and several cemeteries dating to the 19th century.

Whatever your interest may be, we hope you enjoy yourself and trust you'll feel right at home.... here in Southeast Texas!
