About the Chamber

Our Mission

The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Liberty-Dayton area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests of the area.

Along with the City of Liberty Community Development Advisory Board, the Chamber is also allocated the duties of promotion and marketing services for City of Liberty business incentives, as outlined by the Texas Enterprise Zone Program under Ordinance 2010-7 (effective 02/23/2010).

The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is the oldest and largest chamber in Liberty County, Texas. Businesses and individuals looking to visit or relocate to our communities often contact us first for information on Liberty, Dayton and the surrounding area. We provide printed maps, brochures, local newspapers and telephone directories for visitors to our offices, and maintain online guides for tourism as well as area dining, accommodations and retail establishments offered by our members.

As an area chamber, our interest spans beyond the immediate vicinity to events throughout the region, in issues related to transportation, legislation and economic development that would impact our local communities in Southeast Texas. We also keep an ear toward the latest frauds and scams that could be harmful to businesses and consumers.

The Chamber holds various events throughout the year including the Awards Banquet in February, the Business Expo in April, Chamber Radio Day in May, the '500' Auction & Steak Dinner Fundraiser in August, and Country Christmas during the holiday season.

The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce has been honored with several awards over the years, including recognitions from the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives. Some of these honors include awards for our community maps and website, a recognition for our Visitor's Brochure and a recognition for our newsletter.
